Why give?
In New Mexico, the cost of educating students has risen 21.8% over the past decade, while state revenues have shrunk 14 percent in the last two years. In fact, Western New Mexico University is experiencing a decline in its two main revenue sources. At least 85% of Western New Mexico University students draw on financial aid. Without you, most Western New Mexico University students wouldn’t have the means to pay for their educations.

The WNMU Foundation is dedicated to raising funds for scholarships, capital improvements, programs and other activities in support of the objectives and goals of Western New Mexico University.

Established in 1982, the WNMU Foundation is an independent nonprofit 501 (c) 3 corporation which solicits and administers donations and endowments to meet the needs of the students, faculty, staff, facilities and operations of WNMU, which are not fulfilled through state and federal assistance.

The WNMU Foundation conducts annual on-campus, alumni, local, regional and special event fund-raising campaigns, seeking contributions of cash, stocks, bonds, real estate, equipment, tangible property, and bequests from individuals and corporations. All gifts to the WNMU Foundation are tax-deductible to the maximum allowable by law.
